ok - so we have a baby now.
I'm not a big fan of over-sharing in some areas of my life, which I think is funny because I have an old blog exclusively devoted to tracking my bowel movements. But what I'm trying to say is that I don't think you should expect the intimate details of how incredibly cute and perfect my child is (because she is), but I'm not going to write about it. However, I have no problems writing about other stuff related to being a baby momma. So here goes:
Firstly, my birthing story. I'm not going to be sharing that. Suffice to say that the loml is (and continues to be) an amazing man without which none of this would be possible. For all you thinking-about-being-daddies out there, its really awesome when the dad can take the time to be involved in the labor and after bits.
Secondly, I can now add the following things to my list of stuff I've tried:
1. natural child birthing - this was actually ok. When you have good support, this is totally doable and the pain is manageable.
2. epidural - This didn't hurt at all. I give it a 5 star rating.
3. pitocin - Sometimes, you just have to take the stuff. I do not recommend this without number 2 (above)
4. catheter - hah. hahahahaha. not painful at all, and somewhat thought provoking when you have to carry around a bag of your own pee.
Now, I know some of you may be confused at this point. How can I have tried natural childbirth as well as experienced pain killers and a labor inducing drug? hoo-boy. The answer is that you really don't want to know; its a long and complicated story. Suffice to say that all is well that ends well.
well, that's all I feel like sharing for now.
